About NAP

The Nutritionist’s Association of Pakistan (NAP) is registered by Government of Pakistan under the societies registration act, XXI of 1860 vide no. PP/405 dated 27th March, 1990. The NAP is a national organization of educators, scientists, animal nutritionists, dietitians, technologists, producers, extensionists, project leaders and development experts who lead food & feed sectors to improve human nutrition and sustainable livestock & poultry production. Its secretariat is at Department of Animal Nutrition, Faculty of Animal Production and Technology, University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, Lahore-54000, Pakistan.

The objectives of the NAP are:

  • To work for the general advancement of the science of Nutrition in the country, and to contribute in the development of nutritional policies and planning
  • To promote research and teaching in different branches of Nutritional sciences and to help in the development of Nutrition science at the national level
  • To make the public aware of the importance of Nutrition, and to provide direction and leadership to attain appropriate food and dietetic practices for optimal health, performance, productivity and quality of life
  • To promote regional and international relations in the field of Nutrition and maintain liaison with foreign scientific organizations with similar objectives
  • To promote and safeguard the interests of Fellows and Members in Pakistan and Nutritionists in general
